A warm day again (27.4.2008)
It was warm again yesterday, just a bit windy but I still managed to stay out knitting for quite a while and I think I did get some colour too, at least you can already see some lines on my legs :) Here's the list

Sunny calima day :) (26.4.)
Yesterday was a sunny calima day :) Nice and warm and even sunny and hardly any wind so I sat outside knitting for a few hours in the afternoon/evening and I didn't even get burnt but I did use protection 40.

So no exercise nor sunbathing.. And finally I found the correct way of converting cholesterol values and it's not so high as I thought, so I think I won't be buying Danacol anymore as I had the last one of 6 on 25th. The correct mmol/l value is 5,9, the limit is 5 so it's not so high after all, I just have to remember to take my cod liver oil capsule daily and just keep eating healthy.

Sunday...
Yesterday we went to pick up some more free furniture from Las Diamantes hotel as they are refurbishing so we are now refurbishing our house with their old but very good quality furniture :) The day was partly cloudy and everytime I was going to go out to sit in the sun, the sun dissappeared and it was cloudy even in Los Cristianos, it was sunnier here in Guargacho, which is really rare. Working today...
Can't believe it! Twice this has got rid of my text now! Last try. So today I've been at work so I've not really done any sports apart from walking up and down stairs a bit and obviously no sun bathing either.
I didn't reealise yesterday how high my cholesterol actually is. In Spain cholesterol is measured in mg/dl and in Spain in mmol/l. The limit in Finland is 5mmol/l which is 90mg/dl. The limit in Spain is 200mg/dl which would be over 11 mmol/l. Mine was 227 which comes to 12,6mmol/l. So if I was in Finland I'd already been given a medication for my cholesterol for sure...if my calculations are correct of course. And my doctor just said, yes, it's slightly high, just eat less chocolate...ok!

lazy day...
No sports today, no cooking either, I've just been making greeting cards and I also went to see my doctor to get my blood test results. Everything was normal but cholesterol as always. I really have to stop eating chocolate as it was LDL (the bad one) that was high. I wouldn't like to show today's list to my doctor...

I cleaned the cat litter about mid day so stayed out for about 10 minutes while doing that and then 5ish I walked to the doctor's and back, it's max 5 minutes walk though. Now I'm going to iron my work clothes for tomorrow and then I'm off to bed!

Second day
Sorry, there's no photos today, I'm at work and as yesterday's photos were published with the day before's text... Yesterday I actually did a bit of sunbathing :) The builders were there again but I couldn't waste another perfect sunbathing day so I decided to go out to finish a bracelet I was making. I didn't put any suntan lotion on because I knew I wouldn't stay out that long. I was there about 15 minutes and in the evening when I had a shower, I noticed that I should have put some protection because my shoulders were slightly red. Not too red though, they aren't sore or anything. But next time I'll know to put on some protection, even f it's 8 or 10. I normally use SPF 25-30, sometimes even 40 when I sunbathe properly.

First day
Well yesterday I didn't add the picture as I promised nor even my first update. The reason is that on Saturday we got a new computer desk and I painted it then. It's a lot bigger than the shelf that we had the computer on before so we had to change all the furnitures around to make it fit in. In the end we ended up changing our front room totally, now it's like we had a living room and then also a dining/computer room. And the well started diet day got a bad end when we found the chocolate monopoly and scrabble that we had bought a couple of years ago for Christmas... And now yesterday's food/drink list:

Katja's tan &diet diary created :)
I'm going to start another goal diary, last year I had my diet diary at piparminttutee.livejournal.com (only in Finnish) and now I'm going to start again, this time both in English and Finnish (Finnish version). Last year I had 10 kilos to loose, this time it's only 2-3 kilos and then my goal is just to maintain that weight. The problem is that we'll go to Finland and England in June so I know I will eat just way too many sweets then so once we come back I suppose I should start this diet again. And then another goal for this spring would be to tan myself a bit. I don't want to be as white as all the other Finns, then no one would believe that I'm actually living in Tenerife (except maybe from my funny accent). So in the future I will write here about my eating habits, more than likely I will just list everything I eat, the exercise I get and also about the weather and other excuses why I haven't been able to sunbathe ;) And of course I will also add pictures about the result so I will start tomorrow (as I'm working today) by adding a fresh new picture of myself. 8.6. I should be as brown as a bean and as thin as a stick :D
